This white paper presents third-party validated results demonstrating the reliability and consistency of Formlabs’ Form 4 resin 3D printer. Testing was conducted by an independent global product testing organization under controlled lab conditions using standardized procedures to ensure fair, repeatable comparisons across multiple printers.
Across 225 print jobs per machine, the Form 4 achieved a 98.7% print success rate, matching the performance of the well-established Form 3+ and significantly outperforming competing desktop resin printers, which showed failure rates 10–20 times higher.
The study highlights how reliability directly impacts productivity, reducing wasted material, labor, and downtime caused by failed prints. It also emphasizes the importance of validated print settings, hardware quality, and controlled workflows in delivering consistent, repeatable results.
By providing transparent, standardized testing data, this report helps manufacturers, engineers, and product teams make more informed decisions when selecting 3D printing solutions for production and prototyping.
