Using 3D Printers to Manufacture Jigs and Fixtures
December 22, 2015Let Prototyping Solutions Maximize Your Benchmarking Process
January 18, 2016When it comes to 3D printers, versatility is highly underrated.
We’ve come a long way from the early days of 3D printing, when printing in just a few materials – and only one material at a time – was how things were done. Technology then was crude compared to where it is today (and where it will be in the future).
That’s where versatility comes in. 3D printers that can do multiple things with a wide variety of materials are in high demand, mainly because the demands of consumers have gotten more complex. We expect more of our 3D printers and expect them to expand horizons with every use.
That’s why Stratasys, the world’s leader in 3D printers, created the Objet30 Pro – the most versatile desktop 3D printer on the market today.
Here’s what you need to know about the Objet30 Pro and its impressive capabilities.
Unmatched Versatility
The Objet30 Pro was designed to push the envelope of what a desktop printer can do.
Capable of printing in up to eight different materials – including transparent, high-temperature, and simulated polypropyline photopolymers – the Objet30 Pro is as capable as a high-end rapid prototyping machine. It’s powered by Stratasys’ proprietary PolyJet technology which uses UV lights and photopolymers to create 3D structures and models.
The resolution is also best in the industry; you can get smooth surfaces, intricate moving parts, and thin walls for models. Plus, the tray size – at 300 x 200 x 150 mm – gives you plenty of room to create whatever you need, whether it’s prototypes for medical devices, consumer goods, consumer electronics, or other fields.
Wide Range of Materials
You can use eight different materials, which gives you flexibility and the power to take advantage of a wide range of material characteristics for your project.
The materials include four rigid opaque materials in a range of colors, called the Vero family of materials. Stability and high-detail visualization are the calling cards of the Vero family. You also can use transparent material (VeroClear), a high-temperature material (RGD525), and two polypropylene-like materials (RGD430 and RGD450).
It’s uncommon to have so much material versatility in a desktop printer. Usually that’s reserved for the larger production models. The Objet30 Pro does a great job of providing these capabilities in a 3D printer that is still small enough to fit neatly in virtually any space.
The Benefits of the Objet30 Pro
As a desktop printer, the Objet30 Pro combines powerful performance with a small footprint and compact package.
You get to take advantage of eight different materials and superior versatility, combined with stellar print resolution of up to 900 dpi. It’s hard to find these capabilities in one package in a desktop printer, which is why the Objet30 Pro is a class-leading 3D printer.
